About UWBC: United Way BC spans across the province to ensure communities in BC’s North, Interior, Lower Mainland, and Central & Northern Vancouver Island thrive. They work to support residents with a focus on urgent response, children and youth, seniors, poverty, mental health, and food security.
Our Partnership: Our partnership with the United Way of BC began when we organized the first conference on period poverty in Canada in 2018, where members of United Way BC facilitated a workshop. Since then, we have fostered our partnership through participation in the Period Poverty Community Action Group, and mutual participation in events and campaigns.
