Menstruation across generations

Description of the illustration

Three generations of women, including a young girl, gather at a table with menstrual products, seemingly discussing them as the young girl engages curiously. Much of how we think about periods we inherit from the people around us through both explicit messaging (e.g., the things people say about periods) and implicit messaging (e.g., the things people hide). Young people are highly susceptible to these attitudes, so it is important to foster open dialogue to prevent feelings of menstrual shame and stigma from developing in the first place.
