The tree of life

Description of the illustration

A pink and blue tree with roots displayed through the ground appears, sitting below a constellation of moons representing the stages of the moon cycle. The ‘tree of life’ is often perceived to represent the connectedness of things, people, planet, and spirit, and holds many meanings. The moon also holds a lot of meaning across cultures. Across many Indigenous cultures, the menstrual cycle is seen as being connected to the cycle of the moon, and menstruation is often referred to as ‘moon time’ - a time for being cleansed physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
